Our 2019 Annual General Meeting was held at the Mariners Hotel, Haverfordwest on the evening of Wednesday February 27th.
An enjoyable meeting was had by all who attended.
There was relief that the proposed fishing restrictions had not been imposed and hopefully will not come into force this season. The view was why should we the anglers always have to pay when we all know the main real problem is pollution from too much slurry being spread and killing the tributaries.
Thanks were given to County Sports who ( once again ) sold permits to, and expertly advised, members and visiting anglers. It was encouraging to see we had more visitors last season than the season before even with the drought conditions.
I was lucky to get the Salmon cup with a fish over 10lb. Adrian Batty also caught one about the same weight ( and returned 7 more fish ) to get the Conservation Shield and he also won the Sea Trout Cup. Jack James landed the biggest Brown Trout.
