A cracking sewin from the Gorgon Flats!

Clive Alabaster has written in through the website to tell about a recent catch:

Had to write to tell you of my success on the night of 17/18th June. I caught a 4lb 8oz sewin on fly from the flats below the Gorgan pool. It took a large size 6 teal, blue and silver (with extra herl in the wing) pattern just around mid-night. I reckon I hooked it on the Thursday but it was 10 minutes into Friday before I got it on the bank. It was a hen fish in excellent condition.

I live outside the area although I grew up on the river near Wolfscastle and have fished the Cleddau since I was knee-high. I was back for a few days fishing and was on the river three consecutive nights. Anyway, I got lucky on the second of these nights. I'm still on a high and can't wait for my next visit (mid-July).

All the best,

Clive
